Terms & Conditions
One set of terms covers everything we run — private tours, day trips and photography sessions alike. The cancellation terms are written the way a small company that does not work on volume has to write them: we hold one date at a time, and a date given up inside a month is very rarely refilled.
- The deposit buys your tickets — Sagrada Família and Park Güell sell out a month ahead.
- No card surcharge
Payment and Refunds
We confirm a booking with a deposit, and we charge tickets and other pre-booked costs in full at the same time, because that is what lets us buy them while they are still there. Sagrada Família and Park Güell can sell out a month ahead, and both issue tickets in each visitor’s name.
We take a limited number of bookings, and a cancellation within a month of the date rarely leaves us time to fill it, because by then the travellers who might have taken it have settled their own plans.
When you pay depends on how far ahead you book.
Booking more than 60 days before the date
- At booking — 25% of the price, plus tickets and any other pre-booked third-party cost in full, plus a €3 service charge per ticket.
- 30 days before the date — the balance.
Booking 60 days or fewer before the date
- At booking — the full price, plus tickets and pre-booked costs, plus €3 per ticket. There is no second payment.
If you cancel, this is what comes back, whichever way you paid:
| notice before the date | the price | tickets and costs already bought |
|---|---|---|
| 45 days or more | refunded in full | never refunded |
| 30 to 44 days | 75% refunded | never refunded |
| 14 to 29 days | 50% refunded | never refunded |
| 8 to 13 days | 25% refunded | never refunded |
| 7 days or fewer | not refunded | never refunded |
Running late is not a cancellation. Delayed flights, missed connections and late arrivals are not covered by this table — they are handled under Arrival and delays.
A cancellation has to be in writing — WhatsApp or email. A phone call is fine for anything else, but it does not cancel a booking.
Either way
- Payment — through our online payment gateway. No card surcharge.
- Bank transfer — also available.
- Quotes — valid 30 days.
- VAT — included in every price we quote. No tax is added at billing.
Changes After Booking
You can ask at any time, including the day before or the morning itself, and we will always look. Whether it is possible comes down to what else is already booked — the guide, the driver, the bikes, the tickets — so we answer case by case, and a change can cost more than the original booking did.
Changing the date or the time
- A later start rarely means a later finish — where a car or bikes are involved, those hours are booked with the supplier for the times you booked. Starting an hour late usually shortens the day rather than moving it, and staying an hour longer depends on their other work that day. Walking tours and photography sessions are the easiest to shift, because nothing has to move with them.
- Tickets already bought — entry tickets are issued for a set time and in each visitor’s name. One that no longer fits after a change is your cost, and buying again depends on what is still available.
- If we cannot make the change — the booking stands as it was and the refund table applies exactly as it would have. A change we cannot make does not become a cancellation.
- Ending the day early — if you decide to stop before the booked time is up, the time you did not use is not refunded. The guide, the car and the date were held for the whole booking.
Changing the number of people
- Fewer people — you are charged for the party size you booked. A place that was quoted and paid for is not refunded because someone does not come on the day.
- More people — tell us in advance. We will take them if we can, and there may be a charge beyond the group size your price covers.
Ask for any change in writing, by WhatsApp or email. A change is only in place once we have confirmed it back to you.
Arrival and Delays
When we are meeting you at the airport, we book your driver for thirty minutes after your scheduled landing time. Customs and baggage at Barcelona are almost never under an hour, so that is simply how we quote it — and if you land early and reach arrivals before your driver, nothing has gone wrong.
If you are running late, tell us as soon as you know. Call, message, whatever is quickest — this is the one thing you do not need to put in writing.
How long we wait
- At the airport — an hour and a half is included.
- At the port or a station — thirty minutes is included.
- At a meeting point in the city — we wait 45 minutes, and if we have heard nothing from you by then it is treated as a no-show.
- After that — €90 an hour, charged in whole hours, so twenty minutes over counts as one. Past two hours at the airport the driver may not be able to wait at all, as there is often another job booked behind yours.
The waiting clock starts after the hours already booked, not at the moment you are late. On a half-day tour the car is contracted for four hours, so arriving three hours late costs nothing extra. You are never billed for being late — only for time beyond what the booking already covers.
What a late start costs anyway
- The day shortens, it does not move — a tour that starts an hour late finishes at the time it always would have.
- Timed tickets pass whether anyone is waiting or not — a missed entry slot cannot be recovered, and the ticket is spent.
- A no-show — if the time passes and we have still heard nothing from you, the booking is treated as not taken up, and nothing is refunded.
- If the driver cannot wait — the service is cancelled. We will help you sort out what comes next if we possibly can.
Weather, Disruption and Insurance
- Weather — we do not cancel for it. Rain, wind, heat and whatever else the sky is doing change how a day runs, not whether it runs: we reorder stops, shelter the worst of it, and on a photography session we go where the light works. Overcast is often kinder than midday sun.
- Traffic, strikes and closures — demonstrations, roadworks, a venue shut without notice, and so on. We work the day around them, and as with weather the day changes shape rather than being called off, so there is no cancellation and no refund.
- Delays and illness on your side — every trip carries a margin neither of us can do anything about. A flight is delayed, someone wakes up unwell, a connection falls through, and so on. We will do whatever can still be done on the day, and often something can, but where the day cannot happen the costs behind it have already been committed and the refund table is what applies.
- Your ship — a ship that cannot dock is the clearest case of it. That call sits with the port and the ship’s master, and it is out of everyone’s hands, ours included.
- If we are the ones who cannot run the day — we hold ourselves to the same standard, and it works the other way: everything you have paid comes back, tickets included. Set out in full under If we cancel.
- Travel insurance — that unpredictable margin is exactly what it exists for, and it is why we recommend it to everyone who books. It covers what we cannot — illness, delayed and cancelled flights, travel that comes apart on the way, and the like — for a small fraction of what the day itself costs. Taken out when you book, it turns a bad piece of luck into a claim rather than a loss.
if we cancel
- You get everything back — the full price, the deposit, and the tickets and other third-party costs we bought on your behalf. Nothing is withheld and the refund table does not apply.
- We will offer you another date if we can — and it is entirely your choice. Taking a new date is never a condition of getting your money back, and turning one down costs you nothing.
- Why it might happen — illness on our side, or anything else that genuinely makes running the day impossible. It is rare, and you will hear from us the moment we know.
- If something essential changes before the date — we will tell you straight away, and you can cancel without penalty rather than accept a day that is not what you agreed to.
- If a day has to stop partway through — because we cannot continue, the part you did not get is returned.
Photographs and Image Use
- Your photographs are yours — print them, share them, post them, as often as you like. There is nothing further to buy and no restriction on personal use.
- How you get them — a private online gallery you can share by link, and the full-resolution files delivered separately.
- Photographs of adults — we may use images from your session in our portfolio and on this site. If you would rather we did not, tell us beforehand and we will not. You do not need a reason.
- Photographs of children — used only where a parent has given us written consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Proposals — nothing appears anywhere, in any form, until you tell us the news is out.
Responsibility
What we are responsible for
- We are a fully licensed travel agency — licence GC-002877, with professional liability insurance in force.
- Your money is protected if we ever became insolvent — travel agencies in Catalonia must hold a guarantee against exactly that before they are allowed to trade. Ours covers refunding what travellers have paid and getting them home where transport is part of the booking. The guarantor is Markel Insurance SE, Sucursal en España, Torre de Cristal, Paseo de la Castellana 259C, Planta 34, 28046 Madrid.
- On bike tours — a helmet is provided for every rider.
- Your belongings — we take reasonable care of anything in our keeping during the day. Valuables, money and documents stay with you.
What you are responsible for
- ID or passport details where a ticket is issued in your name — without them the ticket cannot be issued at all.
- Being at the meeting point at the agreed time — what happens if you are late is set out under Arrival and delays.
- Following the guide’s instructions — and on a bike, wearing the helmet and being comfortable with the route you have booked.
- Children in your party — they stay the responsibility of the adult they are with, throughout the day.
- Safety — the guide can stop an activity, for one person or for everyone, where continuing would be unsafe or would break the law. On a bike that includes anyone not in a fit state to ride. Time lost that way is not refunded.
