About Barcelona Experience

Barcelona Experience is a private tour company in Barcelona, Spain, operating since 2003 and a fully licensed travel agency (GC-002877). It runs private walking, bike and driving tours of Barcelona, private day trips into Catalonia, photography sessions and workshops, and programmes for companies, always for one group at a time. It is owner-operated and booked only directly, never through booking sites or third parties. Every price it quotes is final and includes VAT.

A guide and a separate driver, so your guide is with you at every stop instead of parking the car.

However many days you have, we plan them together rather than one tour at a time: a day or two in the city, a day out into Catalonia, and tours combined within a single day where it suits, a bike ride in the morning, lunch, then the Gothic Quarter on foot.

A day from a cruise ship

The day is planned back from the time you have to be on board, with realistic timings and room left for traffic or a strike, and if a plan does not fit your window we tell you before you book. Since 2003, no one has missed their ship.

A second visit that skips what you saw last time, an anniversary or a family reunion, a grandparent who cannot walk far: tell us what the day needs and we build it around that, down to renting a wheelchair or a sit-down electric scooter when someone in your group needs one.

Tickets for both are issued in each visitor’s name, each fixed to one date and entry time, and both can sell out a month ahead. We buy them on your behalf, so the earlier you write, the more entry times there are to choose from.

Tell us about your trip

Send your dates, the size of your party and what you would like to see, by WhatsApp or the form. Nothing else needs deciding yet.

We reply with a plan and a price

We reply within one business day with a suggested plan and what it costs, then adjust it with you until it fits.

Your plan, in writing

Before the day, you receive the plan in writing, setting out the sequence and the timings.

The day

You meet your guide and the day runs to the plan, at your pace.

Before You Ask

Will our guide speak English?

Yes. Our guides work in English and Spanish. Most are native speakers, and the rest are vetted for a high level that is easy to follow. More on who the days suit in our FAQ.

Is the price per person or for the group?

Tours are quoted for your party, with a set number of people included and a charge per extra person beyond it, up to a maximum. Photography is one price for the whole party. How pricing works is set out in our FAQ.

Do you take children?

Yes. Children and teenagers are talked to, asked questions and shown things chosen for their age, so the day works for them as well as for you. More on families in our FAQ.

What if our plans change?

Write to us as soon as you know. Whether a new date or start time works depends on what has been reserved for you, and a change stands once we confirm it. Changes and cancellations are covered in our FAQ.
