Lyt and Venita explore Modernist architecture

Lyt and Venita, from Houston, Texas, were to arrive in Barcelona on the cruise ship Constellation. They would be spending a few days in the city and were interested in private day tours and guides from Barcelona.

"We have been to Barcelona before (in 1996) and seen some of the sights but would like to have a guide show us some of the more interesting places that most tourists do not visit." With this in mind Lyt, Venita and I completed two 1/2 day tours of Barcelona.

We walked, used public transportation and the occasional taxi to get from place to place. Of course, we stopped every so often for some tasty snacks such as Italian ice cream, a cold beer or a strong cup of espresso.


Lyt and Venita, in addition to their private Barcelona tours, wanted advice about eating in town. "We would also like to get some suggestions from you for interesting restaurants that are unusual and not typical tourist haunts."

This is what they had to say about those suggestions:

"We were talking about the three restaurants that you sent us to and think they are just perfect and give the visitor a taste of typical Barcelona foods. ... the place where we had lunch on Saturday was also excellent, the casual atmosphere and checkered tablecloths reminded us of a barbecue place back home and the roasted chicken was delicious."

Lyt and Venita had this to say about their Barcelona tours and their special Barcelona Experience: “We really feel like we did as much as possible during our time in Barcelona, thanks in large part to your expert guidance. We enjoyed being with you so much and hated to leave."
